The Powers Catholic girls basketball team used a 10-0 run at the end of the first quarter to take a 22-12 lead over Wixom St. Catherines of Siena on Tuesday night.  The run propelled the Chargers to a 44 - 14 halftime lead that would eventually see the Chargers victorious over the visiting Stars 65-32.

The Chargers were lead in scoring by Senior Amaya Smith with 16 points and Sophomores Kendyl Smith with 14 points and Aria Dottery scored 12 points.  Senior Ali Anderson finished with 8 with an impressive showing off the bench.

“I’m so proud of how our kids responded tonight and closed out our home court.  We’ve had an incredible year here and to send our seniors off one last time with a victory is great. The Chargers (18-3) will finish the regular season on the road at Montrose.  The JV will tip off at 5:30pm with varsity following at 7:00pm.
