Powers Catholic Director of Athletics Mike Watson is pleased to announce the hiring of Paul Stravato as our new head girls soccer coach. Stravato replaces Art Moody who had been a part of the girls soccer program at Powers for 17 years and stepped down at the end of November. Stravato also serves as our boys head soccer coach and continually leads the boys program to district and regional appearances and titles.
Paul brings a wealth of experience to our girls program. As a teacher in the building he knows all of our students already who would have an interest in competing for the soccer team and program.
Paul can hit the ground running with our program with no learning curve about girls’ soccer, what we stand for at Powers and how we should represent ourselves to the public.
Coach Stravato will begin his coaching responsibilities immediately with girls soccer as he prepares girls interested in playing soccer this spring for the upcoming winter conditioning workouts.
Comments from Coach Stravato:
I am truly honored to have been granted the opportunity to lead this program. We will compete and continue the traditions that Art Moody has built over past years 17 years. Go Chargers!"
We are very excited for Coach Stravato to get started in leading this program.
