The Powers Girls Basketball program participated in the Motor City Classic down in Detroit Michigan this past Saturday against Grosse Pointe South in another non-conference matchup. After being down 10 points at halftime the Chargers used a resounding 40-11 second half surge to pull ahead victorious.

The Chargers had fantastic performances by Freshmen Evah Smith, 22 points and 11 rebounds; and Junior Kendyl Smith 26 points and 10 assists. This is Evah Smiths’ second consecutive double double of the young season.
The victory lifts the Chargers to 5-2 on the season with Saginaw Valley League play opening up on Tuesday night as they travel to Mt. Pleasant (4-2).
