Powers Earns Victory in Downtown Showdown

 

Powers Catholic was victorious Saturday afternoon against Warren Fitzgerald by a score of 60-58. The Chargers pulled ahead 42-24 at half before a furious Fitzgerald rally was able to cut the lead to 2 in the final seconds. A strong defensive stand on the last possession earned Powers a victory. Javontae Ross led the Chargers with 26 points and 9 rebounds. He was named MVP of the game. Andrew Caldwell followed up with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Dempsey Cull added 12 points and 5 rebounds. The Chargers return home Tuesday night for their Military appreciation game against Davison.
