Powers Wins Comeback Thriller

 

Powers overcame an 8 point deficit to know off rival Davison in SVL action 74-69. Davison controlled the first half, taking a 30-25 lead into halftime. The 2nd half was back and forth with neither team able to gain much separation. Powers was able to score 49 points in the 2nd half to overcome the deficit. A strong defensive stand in the waning seconds and 2 Danny Wolak free throws iced the game in the end. Javontae Ross led the Chargers with 38 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. 18 of which came in the 4th quarter. Dempsey Cull followed with 10 points and Eli Sturgess with 9 points. Danny Wolak and Jesse Cull led the team in rebounds with 6 each. The Chargers are off until Tuesday where they will host Grand Blanc.
