Powers Falls for the First Time

The Chargers suffered their first defeat of the year, falling in heartbreaking fashion to Grand Blanc, 71-69. The Chargers overcame a 9-point halftime deficit, but a game-winning layup from Grand Blanc with 2 seconds left was the difference.

Javontae Ross and Dempsey Cull led Powers with 24 and 23 points, respectively. Ross added 7 assists and 6 rebounds, while Cull contributed 8 rebounds and 6 made three-pointers. Jesse Cull added 10 points and 9 rebounds, and Breckin Cicalo chipped in 7 points off the bench.

Powers plays Bay City Western at home on Friday night.
