Saginaw, MI -

Saginaw Heritage proved to be too much for the Chargers using a 14-6 second quarter frame to decide the outcome.  The Hawks held off the late surge by the Chargers to win 45-41 in SVL League Play.  The game dropped the Chargers to 12-5 overall while improving Heritage’s record to 16-3.

“I thought our kids played their tails off tonight.  I’m proud of how we bounced back from the Midland loss with more focus and discipline.  The 2nd quarter got us this time and we were unable to come back from it but I know we’ll take the lesson from this game and apply it for the future.  We can only keep improving.” - Coach Trevithick

The Chargers were paced in scoring by Paige Ringwelski with 14 while Evah Smith and Kendyl Smith added 10 and 9 respectfully.  The only other Charger to score was Giselle Wolschleger who scored 8 points for the Chargers.

Powers returns to action on Monday February 17 in a rare late non-conference matchup with TVC foe Bay City John Glenn.  JV game tips at 5:30pm while the Varsity tips at 7:00pm.
