Dear Powers Catholic Family and Supporters’
 

The 41st Annual Charger Athletic Department Golf Scramble is just under two months away.
This year’s scramble will again be held at Sugarbush Golf Club in Davison on Friday, June 6th.
 

This Outing is THE MAJOR FUNDRAISER for the athletic department which allows Powers to
create a special experience for our students. This athletic fundraiser generates dollars for us to
provide uniforms, sport specific equipment and little extras like an occasional charter bus for
our students. It makes us different from many of the public schools and allows Powers students
the luxury of not having to pay – to - play to compete in athletics. To date, at the time of this
request we have already won two state championships this academic year (girls bowling and ice
hockey) with a few more possibilities this spring. However, more importantly, the majority of
our students are having an overall good athletic experience.
 

This Golf Scramble and the FUNDS RAISED allow Powers Catholic to offer ALL STUDENTS the
opportunity to participate in athletics.
 

The majority of our students will not go on to play and compete at the collegiate level, however
our goal must be to offer an athletic experience that will last a lifetime.
Registration and sponsorship information for our major department fund raiser is attached in
the trifold flyer. The outing is topped at 36 teams or 144 golfers.
 

Registration is open. Please do not wait to tell your friends or put together a team to play.
