This week Powers JV Girls Tennis took on Bay City Western and Lapeer scoring an WIN against both! They showed perseverance and positive mental attitudes throughout both matches. Their willingness to learn has led to great improvement and they will keep improving as our season goes on.
Bay City Western graciously hosted us at Delta College, there our 1 singles Emily Gebardt took home the win 8-2! From there our doubles girls followed:

- Ella Cichy & Alanah Jankowiak 8-2
- Isabella Houck & Sophie Cichy 8-4
- Madeline Widder & Emily Garrett 8-1
- Addison Sliwks & Rita Chammas 8-1
- Joyce Tian & Za’Breah Fluker-James 8-4
We had our first home match against Lapeer and it was fully doubles leading to a tough fight for points. Many matches leading to duece every time. We saw some new pairings and great technique! Our scores were:

- Isabella Houck & Sophie Cichy 2-8
- Alanah Jankowiak & Emma Darmafall 8-4
- Madeline Widder & Emily Garrett 8-6

- Alexia Taylor & Ella Sepanak 9-7
Overall I am very proud of how our girls played this week and I look forward to the rest of our season!
