  Donovan Moreno and Aiden Corcoran combined to no-hit Saginaw in the three-inning mercy win in the opener. Aiden Olah and Corcoran repeated the mound feat in the nightcap. Santino Evely, Drew Simmons, Kohlhoff, Newcomb, and Xander Wolschleger each recorded a pair of hits.

   Powers 14, Lake Fenton 6
   Kohlhoff, winning pitcher, also had two hits; Simmons added two hits and three RBI’s. The Chargers advance to the semifinals vs. Goodrich at a date to be determined.

   On a blustery day in MP, temperatures dropped but run production soared. Simmons got the win on the mound. Kaden Martel had a big day, collecting four hits, driving in a pair; Evely added three hits, two RBI’s; Sturgess, two hits, three RBI’s.
   In the second game (5 innings due to darkness), Martel and Sturgess each smacked a pair of hits; Kohlhoff delivered his third hit and third stolen base on the day.
    Powers (6-3 overall; 4-3 SVL) returns home on Thursday as we host perennial contender Bay City Western. 81° temperatures predicted!
