Powers Catholic Girls Varsity Lacrosse team defeated Midland Dow 13-9 on Thursday night. Powers started fast, scoring the first 7 goals of the game, taking an impressive half time lead. Powers was led in scoring by Junior Zandria Grossi with a game high of 5 goals and 2 assists, followed by Seniors Anna Evanoff and Chaeli Daclison who both had 3 goals and 1 assists each. Senior Anna Evanoff dominated the draws with an impressive 10 wins. Senior Lillian Smith led the defense gathering 5 ground balls. Back stopping the win was Junior Goalie Sophie Belott who made 13 saves. The Varsity Girls Lacrosse Team will look to furthering their winning ways next week when we play Heritage on April 30th when it travels to Heritage. Congratulations Ladies on a well deserved win!
