Martel and Borg Provide 2nd Game Spark to Ensure Baseball Sweep

   Kaden Martel drove in the tying and winning runs in the top of the 5th and Michael Borg completed three shutout innings of one-hit relief in 4-3 comeback win at Bay City Central. The Wolves jumped to a 3-0 lead after two and nightcap was called after five innings due to the setting sun. Martel ignited a two-run rally in the 4th with a hustling infield single and aggressive base running. The second game win is the fifth straight for the Chargers.
   In the opener, Powers jumped to a 12-0 lead after three and coasted to a 14-8 final. Santino Evely and Aidan Corcoran each rapped a pair of singles; Chase Newcomb drove in three; Nathan Gebhardt added two hits and five RBIs; and, Mateo Evan drilled three hits to knock in three runs. All sixteen players saw the field for Powers. Eli Sturgess earned the win on the mound.
   The 17-9 Chargers now prepare to host Grand Blanc on Thursday at 4pm.
