Powers Varsity golf competed Monday in the Orchard Lake St Mary invitational held at Spring Meadows CC in Linden MI. Powers continued its recent steady improvement by firing a season best score of 308. The tournament was won by Grosse Pointe South HS with a score of 302. Tournament co-medalists were Charlie Thomas of GPS and Christian Helzer from Grand Ledge HS both shooting -3 (69).
For Powers the low scorers were Cam Stilson and Austin Hampton at 76. Brody Campbell 77 and Jack Johnson 79 both figured in the total team score.
Next up for Powers on Wednesday is the SVL Finals annually held at The Fortress in Frankenmuth.
