Powers Baseball Wins Williamson Remembrance Invite
Connor Kelly struck out seven in three innings of work and Michael Klein smashed three hits to drive in four runs to lead the Chargers to 15-4 win over Durand.
In the championship game Powers overwhelmed host Brandon by drilling eighteen hits in an 11-3 decision. Isaac Sturgess collected four hits as he set the career record for hits to lead the way. Grant Garman added three hits; Nathan Gebhardt had a pair. Luke Dupuis limited the Blackhawks to two hits with eight strikeouts in five innings.
The Chargers, 24-5 overall, travel to Midland Dow on Tuesday, with an opportunity to clinch SVL Championship. Let’s GO!
