Powers soccer kicked off their district playoff journey in impressive fashion last night at Atwood Stadium, securing a dominant 9-1 victory over the Durand Railroaders despite cool temperatures and intermittent rain. It was a fantastic team effort, with every player contributing on the pitch.
Koen Hernandez started the scoring, followed by Colin Johnson. Leo Stravato netted two goals, while Grant Roberts also scored twice, and Mason Mather with 3 goals.
Next up, the Chargers head to the district final on Friday, October 18th, at Montrose High School, with kickoff set for 4:30 p.m. It's a thrilling day for Powers sports, featuring playoff soccer followed by the varsity football team's game at Atwood at 7 p.m. Let’s rally behind our teams!
