The Chargers picked up their 4th win in a row Thursday night defeating Flushing 67-49. The Chargers got off to a slow start only leading by 2 at halftime before a 25-8 3rd quarter run opened things up. The defense led the way forcing 27 Flushing turnovers on what was an atypical poor shooting night. Connor Kelly led the way with 18 points. Javontae Ross added 11 points and 5 rebounds. Isaac Sturgess had another stat sheet stuffing game with 9 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds and 5 steals. The Chargers honored their 4 seniors at the beginning of the game Elijah Britton, Malachi Taylor, Sergio Thomas Jr., and Joe Vermette. We thank them for all of their contributions to Charger basketball over the years and couldn't be any prouder of the men they have become.
The Chargers move on to district play next Wednesday at Durand to take on the winner of Brandon and Lake Fenton. The game will be played at 7:00.
