Congratulations to the Powers Girls Varsity Swim and Dive Team for an extraordinary performance at the Saginaw Valley League Championship Meet this weekend!  Top 8 athletes in each individual and relay event made podium appearances, including Abby Custack (SVL Champion in 200 Freestyle and 2^nd Place in 500 Freestyle), Sara Piper (4^th Place in 200 Individual Medley and 6^th Place in 100 Backstroke), and Loly Yapchai (6^th Place in 100 Butterfly). The team of Sara Piper, Maggie Roche, Loly Yapchai, and Abby Custack finished in 4^th place in the 200 Medley Relay; Kennedi Dawkins, Sara Campbell, Meredith Wilkins, and Lily Potochny finished 7^th in the 200 Freestyle Relay; and Sara Piper, Loly Yapchai, Kennedi Dawkins, and Abby Custack finished 3^rd in the 400 Freestyle Relay. Powers Varsity Coach, Chase Harvey, was also awarded with SVL Coach of the Year!!

All three relay teams have qualified to compete at the MHSAA Division 3 State Meet at Eastern Michigan University with Abby Custack and Sara Piper qualifying to compete in their individual events.
