Scrappy performance by the varsity team vs. Lapeer. They twice had to come back from a goal down to finish the game with a 2-2 tie. Brendan Sly opened the scoring for Powers in the first half with a goal off a corner kick to tie up the game 1-1. Leo Stravato scored the final goal of the game midway through the second half. The team heavily pressured Lapeer in the final 20 minutes of the game with Grant Roberts hitting the crossbar off a corner kick and several other attempts by other players, but the boys were unable to find the back of the net for the win and now stand at 4-0-1 on the season. The team travels to Saginaw Heritage tomorrow. JV plays at 5:30 and Varsity at 7:00.
