PCAT BBB clinch win over Lake Fenton

Tuesday night’s prime time 7pm freshmen men’s basketball game vs Lake Fenton was nothing short of exciting. Just coming of an OT thriller vs Fenton on Saturday, the men had a quick turnaround. The Chargers started of fast with a 16 to 6 lead at the end of the first, Lake Fenton was able to slow Power’s down and tighten the score to a halftime deficit of 3, 25-22. A dramatically tight 3rd and 4th quarter lead to a late lead change for Lake Fenton, going up by one point with just only a minute and seventeen seconds left. Our Power’s freshmen did not waver, they had been in this exact type of situation on Saturday vs Fenton. Showing tremendous grit, tenacity, and a powerful will to win the men stayed calm under pressure and took advantage of lackadaisical defense from Lake Fenton resulting in a lay-up by Joey Pagnani which regained the lead for the Chargers. Our Power’s freshmen were able to come away victories, staying undefeated and winning by a score of 48 to 46. They were led by Silas Babiasz with 9 points, Jayce Beauchamp with 7, Gavin Kelly, Joey Pagnani, Tommy Bossi, scoring 6 points, and Cameron Stilson, and Landon Bohanon with 5 each. Nine of our 12 present players were able to get into the scoring column, but each player was able to contribute with their defense and supporting their brothers. Overall, the team shot 10 of 18 from the charity strip. The young men will look to continue their winning ways next Tuesday at home vs North Branch.
