Friday night the Chargers girls basketball teams were victorious over the Knights of Royal Oak Shrine Catholic 64-19.
Leading the scoring for the Chargers were Amaya Smith (19) and Kendyl Smith (15) but it was the defense that Coach Ryan was impressed with.
“We had a game plan coming in defensively and our kids executed it beautifully. Forcing turnovers and creating offense off our defense was key tonight for us. We haven’t been shooting it great so to be able to get some transition points was big.”
The Chargers have a week to prepare for their next matchup against Arbor Prep in the LBI Best of Michigan holiday shootout @ Belleville High School.
