The Varsity Baseball Chargers scored in five of seven innings to defeat Goodrich 10-3 on Wednesday. Isaac Sturgess, Grant Garman, Connor Kelly, Fischer Hendershot, and Luke Dupuis each had multiple-hit games, but Kelly led the way going 3 for 4, topped off by a massive three-run homer in the seventh.
Isaac Sturgess pitched 5 innings of no-hit ball with 7 Ks before giving way to the bullpen. Despite a three-run uprising by the Martians in the bottom of the 6th, Powers was in command for much of the game.
The 3-0 Chargers are scheduled to play at Midland Dow on Thursday, but check your rain gauge: the weatherman is predicting a gully washer. Onward!
