The Varsity Team collected 3 wins this week, defeating Carmen-Ainsworth (8-0), Mt. Pleasant (5-3), and Lapeer (8-1).
The Doubles teams dominated the courts by sweeping all three opponents!
The Cavaliers didn’t stand a chance as the Chargers recorded 6-0 matches for all flights.
All Powers Doubles flights swept the Mt. Pleasant Oilers, scoring 4 points. Leading the pack was #4D duo, Marin Custack and Emilia Morse (6-1, 6-0), and #2D, Lauren Start and Lolyana Yapchai (6-3, 6-1).
After hard-fought tiebreakers, #1D, Meredith Knight and Maryssa Safford (7-6(4), 6-1) and #3D, Faith Mattar and Marissa Villaire (6-3,7-6(4)), rounded out the Doubles score.
#2S, Kallie Lloyd-Jones (6-2, 6-4), played with determination…adding the final point to secure a PCAT victory.
The Lady Chargers finished the week taking on the Lapeer Lightning.
The Singles flights clocked 3 points with #1S, Elli LaFay (7-5, 3-6, 6-4), splitting sets and winning the third. #3S, Aerika Pertler (6-3, 6-7(5), 10-2), showed her grit with 2 tiebreaker sets and #4, Ava Williams (6-4, 6-3).
Doubles domination continued with special spotlight to a #5 Doubles win from Sophomores, Audrey Ploucha and Sylvia Porrett (8-5).
Next week, the Chargers will compete against Saginaw United at home on Tuesday, Thursday away vs Midland, and Saturday vs Everest Quad.
