The Boys Varsity Tennis fought hard as they faced Mt Pleasant, Lansing Catholic, AA Father Gabriel Richard, Jackson Lumen Christi, Bay City Central, Flushing, and Lapeer.

After the Labor Day weekend, the Chargers tied the Mt. Pleasant Oilers 4-4 on 9/5.
Juniors, Jonah Klanseck (1S) 6-4, 6-2 & Andrew Tiong (4S)6-2, 6-1 led the singles while fellow classmates, Cooper DeVos/Tyler Wood (3D)6-1, 6-2 & Sam Scully/Easton Davidson (4D) 6-1, 6-7, 6-1 led the doubles teams.

The Annual Saint Pope John Paul II Quad took place at Lansing Catholic on 9/7.
Andrew Tiong (4S) scored for the Chargers vs Jackson Lumen 6-2, 6-2.

Powers fell to Flushing 0-8 on 9/9.
1S Jonah Klanseck & 1D Brody Campbell/Shivam Srivastava fought tough matches that included 3 sets and a nail biting tie breaker!

The Chargers rang the bell after their WIN over Bay City Central on 9/10.
Doubles swept the Wolves, while 3/4 Singles matches claimed victory! Senior Adam Sterling (2S) kept everyone on the edge of their seats with a 2nd set tie breaker to split sets.

The Boys Tennis Team wrapped up their week with a 3-5 loss over Lapeer. Scoring Powers 3 points:
2D: Daniel/C. DeVos 6-3, 6-3
3D: Wood/Davidson 6-2, 6-4
4D: R. DeVos/Scully 6-1, 6-0

Wednesday’s match up with the Saginaw Heritage Hawks ended in a 0-8 loss for Powers Catholic Boys Tennis.
Competition was tough and we are very proud of our players!
Shout out to Junior, Andrew Tiong (4S) who split sets and battled hard in the 3rd set 2-6, 6-1, 3-6.
Next week, Powers Catholic will travel to Mt. Pleasant High School for a match up with the Oilers, Thursday, Sept 5th @5pm.

The Chargers took on the Davison Cardinals, and the extreme 90 degree heat, to clock in their first win of the season!

Scoring our first point of the match was Junior, Andrew Tiong (4S) with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
Junior, Jonah Klanseck (1S), finished with a 6-1, 6-0 win along with Freshman, Sid Srivastava (3S) 7-5, 6-2.
Senior, Kaleb Daniel & Junior, Cooper DeVos (2D) defeated Davison in 2 sets 6-2, 6-3.
Rounding out the doubles sweep in third sets & tie-break matches were:
1D: Juniors, Brody Campbell & Shivam Srivastava 3-6, 6-1, 6-3
2D: Junior, Easton Davidson & Sophomore, Joseph Buerge 6-0, 4-6, 6-1
4D: Juniors, Ryan DeVos & Sam Scully 6-4, 7-6 (7-1)
