PCAT JV SOCCER CLINCHES WIN AGAINST CARMAN

Last night the men of Powers JV Soccer took on the Cavaliers of Carmen-Ainsworth and looked to return to their winning ways. Scoring opened up very quickly as Jake Ferguson (2), Aidan Walsh, and Revan Helal gave the Chargers a 4-0 lead at halftime. The second half will see more goals with scoring done by Mason Mather and for the first time ever, Jude Goergen. The Cavaliers would find one before the final whistle but the match was decided with a Chargers victory of 6-1. With the win the JV team improves their record to 14-3-0 which constitutes a pretty great season from the young Chargers!
PCAT JV SOCCER TAKE DOWN OILERS

Last night, the men of Powers Catholic JV Soccer took on the Oilers from Mt. Pleasant at Atwood Stadium. The Chargers looked to continue their winning ways against the Oilers. Despite missing several players, the rest of the team stepped up and took the victory 4-1 over the Oilers. Scoring was opened up by Mason Mather, who ended the night with a brace, Revan Helal, and scoring his first ever goal for the Chargers, Quinten Cokely! With the win the Chargers move their record to 13-2-0 and will play Midland Dow next Monday (10-9).
Winning Streak Remains for PCAT JV Soccer

The men of Powers Catholic JV kept their winning ways alive on Monday evening when they faced off against the Cubs of U of D Jesuit. Scoring was opened up by Jake Ferguson which was quickly followed up with an effort from Revan Helal. In the second half the scoring ways continued with goals by Revan Helal, his second of the night, and by Mason Mather. The final score was 4-1 and the Chargers improved their record to 12-2-0.
POWERS JV SOCCER CONTINUE TO DOMINATE

The men of Powers Catholic JV Soccer team played a hard fought match against Fenton High School on Thursday evening. In what would become a very close match the scoring was opened up by Mason Mather who completed an effort outside the box. A majority of the match would become a defensive effort for both teams until the Chargers found their second of the night in the dying minutes of the match when Colin Johnson whipped in a beautiful set piece and was delivered into the net by a glancing header courtesy of Cooper Villaire to seal the game and the win for Powers at a 2-0 final line. With this win the JV team moves their record to 11-2-0.
PCHS JV SOCCER WITH 5-0 WIN OVER BRANDON

Defense kept the ball off our end quite well and any shots on goal, Jude was able to save! First half goals by Jake (2), Sonny to get us up 3 to 0. Second half goals by Colin C and Ethan to get us to 5. Great sportsmanship and positive attitude on the field against a team that tried very hard physically to play.

Last night the Powers JV Boys Soccer team played Brandon High School in a juggernaut contest between two great programs! Scoring was opened up by Jake Ferguson who quickly followed it up with his second of the night! A few moments later Sonny Evely scored from forty yards out to make it 3-0 at the half. The second half saw more scoring by the Chargers as Colin Crumm and Ethan Pfeiffer each netted one. The final was 5-0 and the Chargers improved their record to 10-2-0
Powers JV Soccer falls to GB

On Wednesday the Powers JV Boys soccer team played Grand Blanc. Although it was a hard fought game, the Chargers fell to the Bobcats 2-0. Goaltender Joey Engel stopped 13 shots on net for a man of the match performance. With the loss the JV Boys team record falls to 7-2-0.
