Powers Catholic Chargers Open Season with 90-75 Victory Over Midland The Flint Powers Catholic Chargers kicked off their 2025-26 season with a commanding 90-75 win over Midland High School on Monday, December 16th at H.H. Dow in Midland. Senior Ethan Ratynski led the way for Powers, capturing dual victories in the sprint freestyle events with a 24.48 in the 50 Free and 55.32 in the 100 Free. The Chargers' relay teams also delivered strong performances, sweeping all three relay events—winning the 200 Medley Relay (1:54.40), 200 Free Relay (1:47.97), and 400 Free Relay (3:55.81). Sophomore Jacob Clark powered through the distance events, taking first in the 500 Free with a time of 5:30:83, while senior Parker Roeser claimed victory in the 100 Fly (1:04.86). Sophomore Ryan Thomas rounded out the Chargers' individual wins with a strong showing in the 200 Free (2:05.56). The season-opening victory gives the Chargers early momentum as they look to build on this strong start throughout the winter season.
