Powers Catholic Boys Swim Kicks Off Holiday Break at Fenton Relays The Flint Powers Catholic boys swim team wrapped up their pre-holiday schedule with a competitive showing at the Fenton Tiger Relays on December 20th. The Chargers demonstrated solid performances across multiple relay events. Highlights included a fifth-place finish in both the 400 Medley Relay (4:15.79) and the 850 Yard Crescendo Relay (9:02.76), showcasing the team's depth and endurance. Powers Catholic also secured competitive placements in the sprint events, taking eighth in the 200 Freestyle Relay (2:08.87) and sixth in the 200 Butterfly Relay (1:55.33). The team's breaststroke squad posted a strong fourth-place performance in the 200 Breaststroke Relay (2:20.46). Senior Ethan Ratynski and his teammates consistently contributed across multiple events, demonstrating the team's versatility throughout the day's competition. The Chargers finished 10th overall in the team standings with 148 points, competing against a strong field that included powerhouse programs from Saline, Grand Blanc and Novi. The relay-focused meet provided excellent preparation as the team heads into the holiday break before returning to action in the new year on January 6th.
