Chargers Go Undefeated Over Winter Break Powers went 3-0 over the Christmas break with all wins coming by double digs. In the first game, Powers defeated Bay City John Glenn 76-55.The defense fueled the offense forcing 29 John Glenn turnovers. Eli Sturgess led the Chargers with 22 points and 6 assists. Andrew Caldwell added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Breckin Cicalo had 13 points and 6 assists. Drey Walton had 8 points and 6 rebounds and Tyler Wood led the team in rebounds with 8. Powers then defeated Columbus Beechcroft 63-52. The Chargers used a strong 4th quarter to pull away in the end. Andrew Caldwell led the team with 22 points and 6 rebounds. Breckin Cicalo added 13 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds. Drew Simmons led the team in rebounds with 8. He also added 5 points, 4 steals, 3 assists and 2 blocks. Tyler Wood had 5 blocks. Powers rounded out the break with a 70-50 win over Mt. Morris. Andrew Caldwell led the scoring with 22 points. Eli Sturgess added 21 points and 5 rebounds. Breckin Cicalo had 11 points, 7 steals and 6 assists. Drey Walton had 5 points and 9 rebounds. Tyler Wood led the team in rebounds with 10. Powers is at home Tuesday vs. Southfield A&T.
