Powers vs NDP Powers Catholic Boys Varsity Lacrosse team defeated Notre Dame Prep 10-7 on Wednesday night. The game was a hard-fought matchup that went back and forth all night until the 3rd and 4th quarters when Powers took over. Powers was led by Senior RJ McAndrew with a game high 4 goals and 1 assist, followed by Sophomore Nolan McAndrew who had 3 goals of his own and Seniors Ian Murawski, Josh Back and Freshman Freddy Belotti each added a goal. Sophomore Nolan McAndrew dominated the faceoff x with an impressive 16 faceoff wins at the X for a 76% faceoff percentage picking up 11 ground balls along the way. Senior Parker Bendall and Junior Kai Haffajee led the defense, gathering 6 Ground balls each. Kai also had a game high 5 Caused turnovers. Back stopping the win was Sophomore Goalie Takoda Sullivan who made 6 saves. The Boys Lacrosse team will look to further its winning ways this Friday on March 20th when they travel to UofD Jesuit.
