Powers Takes Series Finale Over Grand Blanc After losing Monday’s doubleheader 6-4 and 7-6 to the Bobcats, the host Chargers earned a 7-3 win on Wednesday. After Grand Blanc rallied for three runs in the 5th to knot the score 3-3, Powers erupted for four runs in the bottom of the inning to regain control of the contest. Aidan Corcoran finished with 2.1 innings in relief of Michael Borg’s strong start on the mound to pick up the win. Corcoran added 2 hits to help the offense and Drew Simmons knocked in three runs including a key two-out hit that drove in a pair. Powers showed patience at the plate as Bobcat pitchers allowed 7 walks. And the 7-5 Chargers played errorless defense. Now it’s on to Prom weekend before Powers hosts Davison on Monday. Onward!
