Powers Baseball Wins in 4-3 Walk-off Kane Sekelsky’s one-out double in the bottom of the 7th chased home Eli Sturgess and Landon Bohanon with the winning runs in Saturday’s 4-3 home game win against Fenton. The Tigers broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the inning off a wild pitch, setting up the Charger dramatics in the end. The nightcap was postponed with in the bottom of the second when a fast-moving storm blew over the area bringing thunder, lightning, rain, hail, and high winds. Starting pitcher Drew Simmons turned in another fine performance going five innings, limiting Fenton to two hits and two runs. Both Eli Sturgess and Aidan Walls collected two hits and an RBI single to spearhead the Charger offense. Powers will head into Monday’s home doubleheader versus Saginaw United riding a five-game winning streak (11-5 overall). Onward!
