Powers Catholic High School

Powers Varsity Softball dropped the first game at Pleasant 12-2 but came back to beat Mt Pleasant in the second game 5-4. The first game didn’t go our way, but our bats started to come alive. Lexi went 2-for-3 with a double, while Brynn finished 1-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI. The second game was one where we really put it all together. Lexi was dominant in the circle, throwing a complete game with 14 strikeouts and allowing 0 earned runs while collecting 4 hits. Offensively, Lexi also went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI, Gabby finished 2-for-4 with a double, and Katie went 2-for-3. After surrendering 4 runs in the bottom of the 5th to go down 4-3, the good at bats kept coming and the team quickly reclaimed the lead, 5-4 which included two key hits from Ava Dimich and Katie Costello. We head to Swartz Creek tonight for a doubleheader starting at 4pm.
