Bay City Central got a pair of singles wins, but Flint Powers Catholic controlled the back half of the lineup and finished the afternoon strong. At No. 1 singles, Bay City Central’s Ryan Marciniak handed Siddharth Srivastava a 6-3, 6-0 loss to get the home side on the board. Jose Costilla then delivered one of the day’s tightest matches at No. 2 singles, outlasting Flint Powers Catholic’s Ace Akinpeloye 2-6, 6-4, 10-6 in a three-set battle. Flint Powers Catholic answered with wins at No. 3 singles and No. 4 singles, where Joseph Buerge picked up a walkover victory over default default.
