⚡️ ONE TEAM. ONE SEASON. SO MUCH TO BE PROUD OF. 🧡💙⚽️ CHARGERS FALL IN REGIONAL FINAL, CLOSING OUT A MEMORABLE SEASON Powers Catholic left everything on the field Thursday night in the MHSAA Regional Championship against Williamston. The Chargers controlled much of the offensive pressure throughout the match, creating opportunities and earning corner kicks, but Williamston’s defense stood strong. After a hard-fought, scoreless first half, Powers continued to push forward, looking for the breakthrough. With just 8:10 remaining in the second half, Williamston capitalized on its first shot of the game, finding the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead. The Chargers couldn’t find the equalizer before the final whistle. FINAL: WILLIAMSTON 1 | POWERS CATHOLIC 0 But tonight’s final score doesn’t tell the story of this team. 🏆 2026 MHSAA DISTRICT CHAMPIONS ⚽ REGIONAL FINALISTS This season was about so much more than wins and losses. It was about the goals, the saves, the comebacks, the shutouts, and the celebrations. It was about overcoming adversity, picking each other up after tough losses, and finding a way to keep moving forward. It was about a group of young men who refused to let setbacks define their season. From the players scoring goals to the defenders making crucial stops, the midfielders doing the work between the lines, and the goalkeepers protecting the net—every player had a role in this team’s success. And when injuries changed the lineup, teammates stepped up, adapted, and continued fighting for one another. To our seniors: Thank you for your leadership, dedication, and everything you’ve given to Powers Catholic soccer. You’ve helped build something special, and your impact on this program goes far beyond the scoreboard. To our underclassmen: Carry the lessons, friendships, and pride from this season forward. The future of Chargers soccer is in your hands. To our coaches, families, and supporters: Thank you for standing behind these boys every step of the way. And most importantly, to every player who wore the Powers Catholic jersey this season: Be proud of what you accomplished. You earned it together. The season ends tonight, but the memories, friendships, and bonds built along the way will last far longer. 2026 POWERS CATHOLIC BOYS SOCCER DISTRICT CHAMPIONS. REGIONAL FINALISTS.
