🔥 FINAL SCORE 🔥 POWERS 2 – LAPEER 0 Last night’s SVL matchup against local rival Lapeer was a decisive win for the Chargers, improving their record to 8-2-2 and keeping them atop the SVL South division. The Chargers wasted no time getting on the board. Junior center-back Colin Johnson opened the first possession with a long mid-air pass to Junior Lincoln Rainey, who picked it up in stride and buried a shot past Lapeer’s charging keeper. Just 13 seconds in, Powers led 1–0. The rest of the half turned into a defensive battle, with the Chargers controlling possession. In the second half, Powers continued to dominate possession but couldn’t break through Lapeer’s defense until midway through the period. Senior Logan Johnson set up in front of the net and headed a pass to Revan Helal, who finished it off with a header of his own to put Powers up 2–0. From there, the defense held strong to secure the clean sheet in a hard-fought, physical match. Next up: the Chargers return to Lapeer on Saturday for an SVL crossover game against Bay City Western.
