Varsity: Powers Catholic was unable to snap their skid on Friday, falling to Division 1 Troy Colts on the road by a score of 28-14. The loss marked the Chargers’ third straight defeat, bringing their record to 0-3. Powers will now face a tough challenge as they travel to take on top-10 ranked Freeland this Friday, September 19. James Roche and Zeph Bucy found the end zone for the Chargers, while Lincoln Rainey was perfect on both PAT attempts. JV: The JV Chargers showed steady improvement on Thursday but came up just short against the Troy Colts, 15-7. Jason Coughlin provided the touchdown for Powers, with Xavier Stevens tacking on the extra point.
