FINAL SCORE Powers 2 – Midland Dow 1 (PKs) It’s that time of the season when every game matters, and the Chargers rose to the occasion last night with a clutch SVL Semi-Final win over Midland Dow in a pink out game in support of breast cancer awareness! The match came down to penalty kicks, and the Chargers were perfect to secure the victory. The game was a defensive battle from the start, with both teams holding strong throughout regulation. Powers struck first off a corner kick when Senior Reagan Cameron delivered a perfect ball that Senior Revan Halel deflected into the net for the 1–0 lead. Dow answered minutes later on a swift counterattack to even the score before halftime—and that would be it for regulation scoring. Overtime brought even more intensity. Junior Colin Johnson stepped into goal and came up huge, saving 2 of Dow’s first 4 penalty attempts. On the other end, the Chargers stayed calm under pressure. Senior Grant Roberts, Senior Logan Johnson, Senior Reagan Cameron, and Junior Mason Mather each buried their shots, sealing the dramatic win before the fifth shooter even stepped up. Thank you to all who attended and supported Breast Cancer Awareness. Next up: the Chargers face the winner of Tuesday's Grand Blanc vs. Saginaw Heritage match on Thursday. Let’s go, Chargers! 💙🧡
