Chargers Earn Regional Champions Title in Doubles, Finish 4th Overall at 2025 MHSAA Regionals The Chargers Boys Varsity Tennis team capped off an outstanding season with an impressive performance at the 2025 MHSAA Regional Tournament, securing a 4th place team finish—a strong improvement over last year’s 6th place result. Leading the way were seniors Andrew Tiong and Shivam Srivastava, who were crowned Regional Champions at No. 2 Doubles. The duo ended their senior season on a high note, finishing with an incredible 23-4 record and bringing home a regional title to close out their Chargers careers. Adding to the Chargers’ success were senior Brody Campbell, who earned runner-up honors at No. 2 Singles, and the No. 3 Doubles team of senior Sam Scully and junior Joseph Buerge, who also finished as Regional Runner-Ups after a strong tournament run. Also contributing to the team’s overall score were sophomore Siddharth Srivastava at No. 3 Singles and juniors Ace and Asher Akinpeloye at No. 1 Doubles, both of whom fought hard through competitive brackets to help secure valuable points for the Chargers. This group really came together this season. From top to bottom, every player contributed and pushed to make our program stronger. Moving from sixth to fourth in one year shows the hard work these athletes have put in. With multiple regional finalists, a doubles championship, and several key underclassmen returning next season, the Chargers have plenty to celebrate—and even more to look forward to in 2026. Congratulations to the Chargers Boys Varsity Tennis team on a fantastic regional performance and an incredible season!
