Powers Catholic High School

Five members of the Powers Girls Varsity Swim and Dive Team competed against some of the fastest swimmers in the state over the weekend. The MISCA swim meet was held at Holland Aquatic Center and included two Charger relay teams as well as individual swims that included Abby Custack (50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle), Sara Piper (200 Individual Medley and 100 Backstroke) and Lily Potochny (100 Butterfly). The incredible 200 Freestyle Relay Team of Abby Custack, Sara Piper, Maria Haj, and Loly Yapchai swam their way to a state cut on Saturday! And the 400 Freestyle Relay Team of Abby Custack, Sara Piper, Loly Yapchai, and Lily Potochny dropped three seconds from their previous time. Congratulations to Abby Custack who placed 14th among 68 swimmers in 100 Freestyle!
