32 minutes was not enough as the Chargers needed overtime to outlast Freeland. Powers led 38-27 at half but Freeland opened up the 2nd half with a 15-5 run to draw within one. Freshman Tristan Comer led the way defensively for the Falcons coming up with some huge blocks. Wilson Huckaby scored a layup with 43 seconds left to draw even and Javontae Ross's shot came up just short to win. However, the Chargers came out on fire in the overtime period led by Vincent Bates' defensive intensity. He would score 14 points on the night. Javontae Ross led the Chargers with a career high 25 points. Isaac Sturgess, Connor Kelly, and Omar Young scored 9 points each. Isaac added 8 assists.
Powers faces Flint Southwestern Friday at home in a game rescheduled from December.
